ProofHub represents excellent online Project Management and Collaboration Software for the masses. It reminds me of the Google Wave, Outlook Express and Lotus Quickplace, except it is much lighter weight, is purely web-based, is hosted, and is oriented to smaller and medium size companies. That is why it is also popular as “everyman’s project management software with amazing user friendly tools.

For example the target audience is clearly small and medium size businesses that would benefit by connecting over the web like software programmers, web designers, internal project teams, add agencies, event management, freelancers, architects, publishers and authors, insurance agents, associations, real estate agents, IT management, Offshoring Outsourcing , and more. I think the surplus of independent consultants, with virtual teams whole, are another perfect market.

The features include the key information sharing mechanisms that any small and medium size team would want:
1.Dashboard – view all the recent activities of projects at a single central page.

What is there is quite convincing for small teams, but does not appear to be scalable to larger projects. For example, the email notification functionality is good but unsophisticated, which does not matter for small projects, but is important for large ones. Similarly, preview graphics looks fare for very small projects, but inadequate for large ones. I think it is a safe assumption that the other features are equally “right-sized” in terms of scalability. So, the features, functionality and scalability provided all look to be in alignment with the intended market.
