ProofHub as an LMS by jazzper.se

Today we found an interesting and impressive post by at jazzper.se. ProofHub team would like to thank them for posting their view and a quick video of how they think ProofHub can be used as an LMS:

Proofhub is a web based project manager that I have a feeling aims for businesses and corporations. Nothing wrong with that and as we all know, schools can indeed be seen as little companies with workers and executives. At this point Proofhub is in beta and I would say the content and the features are limited and in a preview state i.e. more goodies will be added later and are hidden for beta testers today. Especially considering it is aiming at businesses.

I signed up for a beta test and was immediately granted access to the beta version. And I do see a lot of LMS potential here. Create projects, add tasks and comments. Invite people to join certain projects, chat with those who are online, upload files and create groups. What else do we need to create online courses?

At the moment I can upload files and documents but I can’t embed for instance video, which would have been handy. There are couple of minor bugs and I do wish there was an easier way to add/invite new people to groups and projects. A calendar would have been handy and also a contact import tool from address books such as Gmail. The idea and user interface reminds me of Google Wave a bit and perhaps that’s where the developers have been peeking at. The idea of Proofhub as an LMS is indeed very nice and will be something to consider further on.
